    From Henry Woodhouse Archive, 1920
    photo and letter,
    photo of famous German aviator
    Emile Monz
, first to fly Junkers F-13, first all metal passenger plane.
Monz is pictured here when he flew JL-6 monoplane (F-13 modified by JL Larsen) from Atlantic City to Philadelphia in 59 minutes and 34 seconds.
This event was a big deal! There was an article in the New York Times. The Junkers JL-6, which was the modified Junkers F.13 (modified by JL Larsen) ushered in the start of all-metal aircraft.
As a note, 935 Boardwalk is a famous address in Atlantic City history as it was the old Virginia Theater.
    Letter: June 10, 1920
    Mr. Henry Woodhouse,
    Dear Sir,
At the suggestion of Mr. Augustus Post, I am enclosing these few prints pertaining to the record flights of the two J.L.6 monoplanes. I hope they will interest you. It was a most thrilling event.
    Very sincerely, L.K. Hall
    935 Boardwalk, Atlantic City
Note: The letter mentions "these few prints." Unfortunately, I've only found this one.
There is a great article on Emile Monz and the Junkers F.13 and JL-6 monoplane on thisdayinaviation.com at link:
