1st Stage
- All of our sediment filters use multi-gradient spun polypropylene filter cartridges. These cartridges use the entire depth of their media by trapping the largest sediment particles on the outside of the filter, then gradually stepping down the size of particles they will reject as the water moves closer to the core of the filter. The result is longer filter life, greater dirt-holding capacity, higher flow rates, and remarkably low pressure drop. The 100% pure polypropylene media is highly resistant to bacteria and chemicals, making this an excellent choice for both well water and municipal water treatment applications.
2nd Stage

KDF Media when used in conjunction with the finest grade Carbon, gives you the best water filter media to eliminate contaminants in your water supply. KDF Fluid Treatments unique combination of copper and zinc creates an electro-chemical reaction. During this reaction, electrons are transferred between molecules, and new elements are created. Some harmful contaminants are changed into harmless components. Free chlorine, for instance, is changed into benign, water-soluble chloride, which is then carried harmlessly through the water supply. Similarly, some heavy metals such as copper, lead, mercury and others, react to plate out onto the mediums surface, thus being effectively removed from the water supply. KDF water filter media extend the life of granular activated carbon (GAC) while protecting the carbon bed against fouling by bacterial growth. Because KDF does most of the heavy lifting in removing contaminants, the carbon lasts much longer. The carbon is used then to mainly "polish" the water to give it a sparkling taste.
